Shop Low Carb Dog Food & Treats

Dogs should be powered by fat and protein, not carbs. Much dry dog food is around half carbohydrate, yet dogs have no dietary need for it. Visionary Pet makes very low-carbohydrate, high-protein dog food and treats from real meat and healthy fats, with no fillers, grains, starches, or added sugar.

What makes our dog food low carb?

Most kibble is held together with grains, potatoes, peas, or other starches. We leave them out. Our foods are built on meat and animal fats, so carbohydrates stay as low as possible. That's the same principle behind a ketogenic diet for dogs, and it's why many owners use our food for a keto or low-carbohydrate feeding plan. Want to check any food yourself? Here's how to calculate net carbs in dog food.

Our low carb range

• Freeze-dried dog food: high protein, grain-free beef and chicken medallions. Feed as a complete meal or crumble over your dog's current food as a low carb topper.
• Meat spreads: chicken, duck or salmon with ghee, and beef or lamb with beef tallow. Rich in protein and fat, peanut-free, and an easy high-value treat or meal mixer.

Who is low carb dog food for?

A high protein, low carb diet suits healthy adult dogs, active dogs, and dogs that need to stay lean. Owners also choose it when they want simpler ingredients and fewer fillers. If your dog has a health condition, talk with your veterinarian before changing their diet.

Why the research matters
